Traditional Acupuncture  is based upon  the ancient philosophy of The Five Elements according to which all things of the universe manifest as the elements of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal.  In nature the influence of these elements create the seasons of the year.   In people these natural forces are just as influential and are responsible for five specific emotions, five pairs of organs and five specific areas through which the acupuncturist can detect strengths and weaknesses and thus target treatment at a truly individual level.
Treatment will, therefore be focused at improving overall health as well as the isolated treatment of specific symptoms.

“Acupuncture from Donna broke the repeating cycle of bronchitis, antibiotics, stomach problems and deafness.  When I first went for treatment I had been very unwell for eight weeks and was very fed up especially with the vomiting……. I cannot recommend Donna highly enough.   I have had acupuncture in Japan and from Chinese practitioners in the UK and have found her treatment on a par or superior to the best treatments I have had elsewhere.

“When, four months after the accident, my broken ankle, having become infected, stubbornly refused to heal, I was advised to seek help from Donna Ashton.  At 75 years old I had fallen down stairs.  I was due to return to hospital six weeks later for a decision over surgery: so we hadn’t very long to make a difference: some six sessions at most. Donna quickly understood that she needed to approach my physical problem indirectly rather than simply head on: she found me at a low ebb both spiritually and emotionally and set out to make me feel better in myself – and about myself.  I sensed the effects immediately: I became brighter, more positive, more optimistic, and these welcome new feelings were accompanied by a new sense of physical vigour and energy. ……… The hospital check-up, when it came around, included an x-ray confirming that healing was indeed now taking place.”

I have had no previous experience of Acupuncture before talking to Donna, after being told by my GP that I needed medication for high blood pressure.
She told me Acupuncture could help the BP so I agreed to give it a try.

To my surprise, not only did my BP came down to my Doctors requirement, without medication, but the Gout that I have had for the last few years, has also disappeared!

After the first session of Acupuncture, I felt that I was walking on feathers and the discomfort that I was feeling in my feet had gone.

Donna’s skills of returning ones body to balance are really amazing.
I subsequently injured my lower back and again have been amazed by how quickly this too has been resolved.

I do not hesitate to recommend the power of Donna & her “cute little needles”
