WHAT TO EXPECT?

The first consultation involves taking a full medical history and a physical assessment which will include the first treatment.
Allow ninety minutes for this appointment, 
Subsequent appointments are 1 hour duration.

HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?

It would be usual to expect some type of change within 4 to 6 weekly treatments.  An appropriate treatment plan to suit each individual, can then be discussed.

DOES IT HURT? 

The needles used in acupuncture are tiny, just a little thicker than a human hair.  Most people do not feel the needles being inserted but often feel a mild sensation most commonly described as a tingling.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I EXPECT?"

Treatment may also involve placing small cones of moxa onto acupuncture points, which are then lit in order to warm, enrich and supplement qi, prior to needling.
